Vintage Buttermilk Sideboard Cabinet
An original custom built sideboard made by a cabinet maker in the 60s for private use. The unique design features 8 spadefoot, steeple style legs and overlapping concealing doors. Cabinet body has a dark Coffee Bean interior finish with a contrasting Buttermilk (creamy off-white) exterior sealed and cured with clear hard wax. Middle shelf depth is 12.5" and just over 15" wide. Side shelves are 8.5" wide with a depth of 14.5"
The sideboard has a newly refitted solid wood top with a dark walnut stain in a butcher block style grain pattern and has been finished with multiple coats of polyacrylic and a buffed hard wax for a satin finish.. An additional stacked shelf has been added to the left cabinet space along with new finger pulls to match existing hinges with copper patina.
This one of a kind piece would make a great addition to any retro, or tradtional country kitchen or dining room lacking the space for a larger buffet. Would also make a great farmhouse kitchen island or do well in any room needing some additional hidden storage.
