New England Tavern Bench
A Colonial reproduction of a New England style dining hall bench used in the old taven inns in the late 1700s to early 1800s. Made entirely of reclaimed barnwood with top and side pieces featuring old growth pine of over 100 years old.
This bench is just over 5 feet long and has a seat width of 11.5 inches. Finish is achieved with a dark old world stain and hand rubbed worn paint finish using Benjamin Moore’s: Tavern Charcoal from their historicaly accurate Colonial Williamsburg paint collection. Extra reinforcing has been added under the seat for increased durability.
This solid wood piece has been clear sealed to eliminate moisture loss in wood but also given a final buffed satin finish with a clear hard wax.
An original period style custom build for any farmhouse style or room looking for some added functionality and charm.

*As with all rustic/reclaimed projects there are some small nail holes and minor imperfections in the integrity of the wood owing to its former history that add originality and character to the piece.
