






































Dragonfly Poster Headboard Bench
An almost antique old poster headboard repurposed into a beautiful country bench. Frame is built with various parts of upcycled architectural salvage and reclaimed furniture parts then reinforced underneath with added dimensional stock.
This was a full size bed so it spans 56” wide reaching up 53” to the top of the poster finial. Custom antique style finish using a blended layered paint technique finishing with Dragonfly green by Benjamin Moore. Wax sealed blending 3 kinds of antiquing wax to darken a bit and add to its aged appearance.
Various patterns of weathered reclaimed cedar were selected to plank the seat at approximately 18” high and 15.5” deep. Enough room to add bench pillows or leave without. Cedar has been sealed with a clear satin polyacrylic to help preserve natural patina.
This is a definate one off for anyone who loves a good anique green finish on a beautiful old piece of solid wood furniture.
